FWIW, I just purchased a Toshiba RT-SF5 at a thrift shop for $6.95 which is somewhat less than “one recently sold in working condition for $47.00” as mentioned on your site. Mine was relatively clean for a thrift shop purchase. AC and battery power work OK. Volume potentiometer is noisy. Tape selector switch is missing/broken. Sounds OK for its size and age.

I am looking for the value of a sanyo m9935K boombox. It is in working condition, and cosmetically great with the exception of it missing the back cover plates for the batteries and the power cord compartments. It is dusty from being stored but I will be cleaning it up. Otherwise looks and sounds untouched!

hat’s a hard boombox to find. One is active on eBay right now for $1150 but hasn’t sold yet. One sold in January for $150 but it was beat up and missing knobs, battery cover etc. I’d guess around a value of around $1000 if it’s in nice shape. But, that’s just a guess. Keep an eye on eBay and maybe one will come up for sale on auction. Then you can get a more definite price.

One sold on eBay Australia for $70 plus shipping a couple months ago. It was in pretty good condition but not mint. So, I would guess $100 or so. Just my opinion.

I have a dynasty disco lite in working condition. One of the tape player doors needs to be serviced since it doesnt lock in place. When tunning for a radio station it makes loud static noise.

Hi, I’m trying to identify a small box I had bought in ’81 or ’82. I’m pretty sure it was a Sony and looked a lot like the one in the A-Ha music video for “Take on Me” It’s seen toward the end of the video where the girl goes home and is trying to straiten out the paper with the illustrations. It can be seen pretty clearly on her desk.
I’d really like to try to find another one for a piece of my mis-spent youth but I can’t seem to nail down exactly what model it is.

I didn’t notice the Panasonic RX-5235 listed. Any suggestions for an asking price? Sounds great and is in very good condition just missing the 3 knows on top (tone/balance/volume) but l just adjust them with a popsicle stick
